We manufacture clarinets with German system and clarinets with French fingering, along to our Reform Boehm system, which was invented over 80 years ago by Herbert Wurlitzer’s father Fritz Wurlitzer.
Because of their excellent workmanship, they are extremely stable in value. Even after decades, our instruments are trading high.We manufacture the entire clarinet family from the A-flat clarinet to the contrabass clarinet. Each has the coveted WURLITZER sound.

Clarinets German System

Our clarinets are made exclusively from carefully stored and selected according to strict criteria grenadilla wood. The mechanism is made of nickel silver and is extra heavily silver plated and highly polished. Clarinets come with one to two barrels (depending on model,) and one mouthpiece.

The Reform-Boehm Clarinet was invented more than 80 years in our house – an instrument with “French” fingering and the sound of a “German” clarinet. This means that as a Boehm clarinetist you do not have to switch to the German system to achieve the typical WURLITZER sound. The WURLITZER Reform-Boehm clarinet is the ultimate combination of the beautiful, powerful sound of the German bore with the French fingering, which has been modernized with even more alternative grip / pitch options.

Mouthpieces

Our handcrafted mouthpieces can be played on German and French clarinets, as well as on Reform-Boehm clarinets. The mouthpieces for German and Reform-Boehm clarinets are identical, the mouthpieces for French clarinets have their special fit and are marked with an F-engraving. You can choose between mouthpieces for leaves with German cut or French cut. In addition, we produce mouthpieces for high clarinets in Eb and D, mouthpieces for basset horn and bass clarinet.
